Zhang Mo (BC) Wins 2004 Portuguese Junior Open
December 19th, 2004- Tavira, Portugal - Canadian Junior teams have been competing here for a number of years. The Portuguese Junior Open has a long tradition of attracting the best European Junior teams...no exception this year.

Klaus Traeger - long time supporter of Canadian Table Tennis has died.
December 14th, 2004- Klaus was a long time supporter and builder of table tennis in Canada.

Canadian Paralympic National Team Capture Gold, Silver, & Bronze At The Mexican Open
December 6th, 2004- The Canadian Paralympic Team of Ian Kent (Halifax), Martin Pelletier of Gatineau, Gerald Brule of Laval and Laurie Sokolowski and Barry Butler of Ottawa harvested one Gold, two silver and two bronze medals for Canada at the IPTTC sanctioned Mexican Open.

Zhang Mo (BC) takes Bronze at the World Junior Circuit Finals in Portugal
October 30th, 2004- 15-year old Zhang Mo from Richmond, BC was the player of the day at the World Junior Circuit Finals in Funchal, Madeira in Portugal. In her Quarter Finals match Mo disposed of Galina Dvorak (Spain) - the European Junior Champion) in straight games to reach the Semi-Finals where she met Martina Smistikova of the Czech Republic.

Noreen Lem passed away peacefully at her home in Ottawa
October 6th, 2004- Noreen Yee Lem passed away peacefully at her home in Ottawa, surrounded by her family. Noreen had an intense battle with cancer which she fought in a courageous manner.
